I have been studying János Perényi’s career since 2009. In the essays I have published since then I covered the outline of his career, his relation to royal power and to the magnates and his position within the national council. In my papers which are about to be published I examined the beginning of his political career, the history of his family’s possessions and the use of their residence. Besides the conclusions of the literature, these studies are based mainly on already published diplomas and on the sources I have collected. In my present paper I intend to summarize the results of the sources collection I have carried out in the course of my stud­ ies abroad and during my professional practices. Conducting a research in the archives of the MNL OL and also in the archives of the free royal cities of Upper-Hungary I collected the charters issued or confirmed by János Percnyi. I used the database of the MNL OL DL-DF as the basis of my investigation. Since I was predominantly interested in the seals attached to the charters, the inspection of the diplomas and letters kept abroad was inevitable. I photographed all these seals or had them photographed. As a result of my research I created a database which contains the charters issued or confirmed by János Percnyi and also the seals attached to these charters. I publish these in­ formation in a summarizing table at the end of this paper. My work could not have been com­ pleted without listing thepolysigillic diplomas and were issued between 1439 and 1457. My studies written about the building of this database together with the conclusions I have drawn from it will be available to the public soon. Based on the above mentioned database and also on my previous research I try to find out whether the seal usage of Percnyi reflected his relation to national politics and the role he played in it and his party affiliations. For my investigation I also use the results of the works written on the functioning and seal usage of medieval judicial offices, the results of already published itineraries and discourses on political history

A terebesi Perényi család familiárisi hálózata : különös tekintettel a Zsigmond-korra

For years the Terebes branch of the Perényi family has been standing in the centre of my research. Some chapters of my upcoming PhD thesis have already been published as segment-papers, such as the history of the family's landholdings, or the sketch of the activity and seal usage of the Master of the Treasury, János Perényi. In this present paper I take up a sorio-historical research, in which I have collected the people and noble fa-milies that served the Perényi family, and drew the curve of their career. For it is well-known from the sources and literature that the members of the family disposed of an extensive familial network. Imre Perényi was indicated in the 1410 banner record with 15 spears. István Perényi undertook missions in Italia with 14 horsemen in 1433. According to the military decree of 1435, János Perényi was obliged to provide 200 horsemen for the defence of the Western borders. In 1439 King Albert in die donation of Sáros highlights that János Perényi have supported King Sigismund in the West "with a fair number of escort". In 1458 they had to manage 10 manors, with at least 7 casdes in them. In this paper I endeavour to find out who were those that the members of the above mentioned family were able to count on. As far as possible I review the careers of three major families. Through them, the roles that the members of the family played in regional and national political levels can be nuanced. By recording all the known familiaries and examining their geographical spread, we are able to draw a picture of the family's territorial base, and furthermore we can point out the connections between the lands, residences and network of familiaries of the Perényis'
